Act 3 Scene 2Submit your written responses to the following study guide questions. For each response, be sure to: (a) use complete sentences to explain your ideas and (b) use at least two pieces of direct evidence from the text for each response. Show your detailed understanding of plot as well as your work with self reflection. (40 pts)
40. In two sentences explain what happens between Jean and Steve and how Johnna is involved. (pp 114-117) (5) 41. In three sentences, describe Karen's reaction to Steve's situation. Use details from pages 118-120 to describe her actions and her words. (5) 42. From pages 118-120, describe Barbara's reaction; include text examples of her actions and her words. Describe Bill's reactions with support from the text for his actions and words. What is the main difference between their styles? (10) 43. Describe what you would have done -- call the police? Attack? Yell? Avoid it? (5) 44. Look at the "Confrontation Styles" image to the right. Identify your confrontation style. Describe some examples of it. (5) 45. For your own personal knowledge, watch the video below on conflict resolution -- but don't call the number [ha!]. Consider how you manage conflict in your life -- with parents, at work, in class, regarding gossip, with friends, etc. Describe a personal "take-away" from the video that could be useful for you. Use language from the video in your discussion. If you need to expand your discussion, talk about multiple "takeaways" instead of just one. (10) |
